The Scandinavian design is known for light colors, functional designs, clean lines, and nature inspires on their projects. And not only in the architectural matter but also in interior designs. The idea of beautiful and functional designs applies to all architectural aspects in the region. And the region has really talented architects and designers, that are well known in the market.


Alvar Aalto


Born in Helsinki, Finland, the architect Alvar Aalto excelled as a designer in the areas of furniture, fabrics, and crystals. He was one of the most influential architects in the modern Scandinavian movement. Aalto is known as a modern and organic architect, always minding to incorporate elements of Finnish nature and tradition into his works.

Even though he died in 1976, Alvar Aalto is still considered one of Finland's greatest architects and is recognized worldwide. Even though he has died, he is still very present in all his works, which is due to his foundation, where several of his projects are presented. The foundation features research materials, exhibits, and museums, where fans of the architect can see their works closely. When visiting the museum it is possible to know and travel through the entire trajectory of the architect.






Fritz Hansen


Fritz Hansen or better known as the Republic of Fritz Hansen is a Danish design company where great designers have already worked. The company has the history of supporting its artists in turning their ideas into reality. The company works with internationally renowned designers and architects. The Republic of Fritz Hansen philosophy has the philosophy that any furniture can beautify an environment completely.





Eero Aarnio


Eero Aarnio is a Finnish designer well-known for the innovation in furniture designs in the '60s, where he stood out for his plastic and fiberglass chairs. He founded his office in 1962. The artist is renowned for his iconic Ball and Bubble chairs, which were created after the designer investigating about fiberglass. Even today, Eero Aarnio chairs are desired by many.
